MICHELLE (2008) Synopsis Michelle is a girl like many others in China. She was sent away from home at age 10, started wandering around the country doing humble jobs and eventually shipwrecked in Beijing where she still hopes for her only dream to come true: to go to Isreal to keep studying Hebrew. Authors' comments "When we asked Michelle to record some of her belongings with our camera she refused, embarassed for not possessing anything else but the clothes she was wearing. She appears in front of a white screen during the whole movie, hardly looking at the camera. We attempted to express the same emotions we felt when first met her, so we decided not to add anything towards fiction, just the exhaustion and loss of such a story.
