about the work: The urban surrounding holds a central place in my works in the last decade. Frontal shoots, with or without a flash, some from a distance, including people or structures, mostly staged, but always occupied with the urban existing. This current series expose different conflicts, incorporating personal expression and influences of minimalism and Russian constructivism. I am drawn to the banal situations within the urban environment, which hold potential emotional charge and tensions, exploring the modern society ability to contain the urban environment, in relationship to global changes in the 21st century. by Alic Trossmann
